Rehearsals
Rehearsals are Tuesdays in term time 7-8.45pm with a break at 8pm. We have a short break during each rehearsal which gives us a chance to hear announcements, sort out arrangements for concerts, and have a quick chat.
We meet at Holy Trinity Church Hall, Aberystwyth Crescent, Barry - at the bottom of Trinity Street.
New singers are welcome at anytime but we also hold an open evening at the start of each term.
Come meet our current choir members, hear the music we are currently singing, join in with a bit of a singalong and ask any questions you might have!

What parts do we sing?
There are three sections to our choir: altos (the lowest voices); second sopranos (in the middle); and sopranos (the highest voices). New members can join any of these sections and see how you get on, or if unsure Matt can help you work out your vocal range and guide you to the section where your voice fits best. No-one has to audition and we welcome any women over the age of 18 as members.
How do we learn our music?
We sing from musical scores (a sheet that shows the different voice notes and words as well as the piano part) but not everybody reads music and many rely on our ears to learn the songs by listening to the notes of their part being played by our accompanist as well as listening to and watching our director mouth the words and keeping time.
Want to come to a rehearsal?
New members are always welcome at any time of the year but we also hold a special Open Evening and the start of each term. If you would like to join us you can either contact us via the form on the Contact Us Page or just come along to one of our rehearsals to see what we're all about. We are registered as a charity and try to keep our membership costs as low as we can so that the choir is as accessible as possible. We offer a four week trial period before you have to commit to paying any membership fees. Holy Trinity Church Hall is easily accessible with no steps. There is usually street parking available nearby and Barry Rail station is about a 10 - 15 minute walk.
